7. Uttarahkand

Uttarakhand is a state situated in North Indian region of Himalayas. The state is also known as ‘Uttaranchal’ and  ‘Devbhumi ‘ (Land of Gods) because, numerous Hindu pilgrimage sites are presented in this state.So that religious forms a major portion of the tourists in the state. Most of the people in India believes that, this state is the most sacred place for the Hindus, so that they come here at least once in their life time. This is surrounded by Nepal to the east, Tibet to the north, Haryana to the west and the Himachal Pradesh to the North West. 

Dehradun is the provisional capital of Uttarakhand which is the largest city in the region and also has some of most beautiful tourist places around the city. Hindi is the official language of this stateand also different dialects of the language are spoken in its diverse regions. Kumaoni and Garhwali are the main languages of the major population here.

Tourism in this state is on a large scale because of  the land is blessed with abundant beauty and has lots of natural landscape that impresses the tourists to visit again and again. This state also comprises of lots of temples and most of them are ancient and worth visiting temples. One of the famouse place,  Char dham the most sacred places of the Hindus like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri are nestled here.

The best time to visit this destination is during the summer season because the climatic conditions remain comfortable at this season. Tourists can also plan to travel to the place during winters, although, certain areas become inaccessible during this time due to heavy snowfall.
