3. Maharasthra

Maharashtra is one of the most attractive state for the foreign tourists in India and it is 4th most visited state by domestic tourists in country in 2010. Aurangabad was declared as Tourism Capital of Maharashtra recently.
This state is one of the most industrialized state in Indian. The mother tongue of this state people is Marathi and who are known as Marathis or Maharashtrians. Most of the people in this state are also spoke and understand Hindi and English.

Mumbai is the capital of the state.  The state is famous for various hill stations, religious places, fashion, beaches etc. Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad and Nagpur are the most developed cities in this state. Some famous educational institutes in the state are Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT),  Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) etc. Ganesh Chaturthi ( Lord Ganesh's birthday) is the famous festival celebrated in the state.

1.Mumbai:


Mumbai, formerly called Bombay, is the capital of Maharashtra. It is also the business Capital of India, it being the country's principal financial and communications centre. The world’s third largest Stock Exchange is situated in Mumbai city.The city has the largest and the busiest port handling India's foreign trade and a major International airport. Here, billions of rupees is carried out as trading of stocks in  everyday.

Famous places in the city are Bollywood, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Essel World, Gateway of India, Juhu Beach, Marine Drive, Nariman Point, Water Kingdom, Hotel Taj, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Haji Ali Mosque etc.
Discription about Mumba can’t be complete without the mentioning the Bollywood, which is the biggest Indian film industry which churns out hundreds of Hindi block-busters every year.
Mumbai's climate is warm and humid in most of the year. Here the temperature is cooler and the skies are cleared between November and February.

There are a number of beaches in Mumbai, because of it is situated on the western coast of India and it is surrounded by the magnificent Arabian Sea. Each and every beach in Mumbai is also considered as important venues for the shooting of many films. There are amazing restaurants, coffee houses and food stalls located nearby, from where you can enjoy and savour several mouth-watering dishes.

Chowpatty Beach:


One of the most famous beaches in Mumbai is Chowpatty Beach which is  Located in the heart of the city, this beach is most popular because of  its local delicacies on which most of the people enjoying whenever they visit. Watching the glorious sunsets from this beach is a sight worth seeing.

Some of the other beaches available in this city are Juhu Beach (located approximately 18 km from the city center), Madh Island Beach (situated on the North-Western coast of Mumbai), Versova  Beach (situated in the suburbs of Andheri).
